Tagged....

I was tagged quite a while ago but life has been hectic so it wasn't a priority. I am finally doing this but I think I am quite normal, without many quirks! ;-) I guess we'll see if I can come up with anything..... 1. My house has to be clean, with the exception of my bedroom. I will pile things in my bedroom to get them out of site. Then I can just shut the door of my bedroom and forget about it. 2. I need ME time. I ride the bus to work every day and I use that time to read and relax. When I don't get my ME time, I get irritable and onery. 3. I love to experiment with food. I guess with my years in the restaurant business, I got used to trying new things. Now when I cook, I don't usually follow a recipe. I just throw things in and change it until it tastes good. The down side to this is I am not very good at re-creating a good recipe the second time. 4. I can't waste time watching tv. If I have the television on, I have to be doing something else too. I have many projects that I work on while I am watching television. It works both ways. If I have a project to work on, I have the have the television on. I don't work well in silence. 5. I love to work outside. I spend most of my time in the summertime indoors at work. Every chance I get, I go out in my garden to enjoy the fresh air. It is a great release for me. 6. I am a klutz. I will walk into walls and doorframes. I don't walk straight and I don't judge distances very well. It is kind of embarrassing sometimes! I won't tag anyone because most of the people I know have already done this one!

Life is Fragile

Life is so short and fragile! It is time to stop and make sure you hug and kiss all of your loved ones more regularly. I have been reminded several times today about this and hope I can follow my own advice. I just found out that an aquaintance of mine passed away this morning. It was sudden. Then I ran into a friend of mine from the restaurant that has cancer and he looks like he has aged 20 years. He isn't doing well. I guess it was a reminder to me that you never know what will happen in your future or in the future of your loved ones so we need to make the best of each day and create wonderful memories!
